For these situations, Global Medical Insurance includes a benefit for Emergency Medical Evacuation up to the policy maximum. This coverage is available when there is not a qualified facility in your area to treat your life threatening illness or injury.

Global Medical Insurance also covers expenses for repatriation of bodily remains or ashes to the country of citizenship up to a maximum of US$25,000 for death resulting from a covered injury or illness.

The evacuation must be recommended by the attending physician and approved in advance and coordinated by IMG. IMG is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to arrange emergency medical evacuations.
